Nova Scotia is Strong

If Covid-19 wasn't enough, 2020 saw the residents of Nova Scotia endure tragedy after tragedy.

Over the last several months, this amazing province has been impacted with a handful of devastating catastrophes including:

  • Mass shooting in Portapique, NS
  • Missing child Dylan Ehlers from Bible Hill, NS
  • Cyclone helicopter crash off Greece killing Nova Scotian's Capt. Brenden MacDonald and Sub-lt. Abbigail Cowbrough
  • Fatal plane crash (Snowbirds) killing Nova Scotian Jenn Casey

Despite the continual grief felt by these (and many more) situations, Nova Scotian's have stood strong. As a Nova Scotian myself, I am proud of the residents of this small seaside province. Together we have bonded to create an atmosphere of love, support and hope. It is my wish that we can all move forward in peace, and the horrific experiences we've faced will only make us stronger, and that the sacrifices which took place during these times will never be forgotten.

With summer quickly approaching, we are looking to shed light in the midst of this darkness.

Our first ever fundraising project aims at helping Nova Scotian's find ways to get outdoors - healing through nature. We are looking to raise money to create a series of short, educational videos highlighting local hikes, attractions and businesses throughout the province.

This series will help guide Nova Scotian's discover new locations, learn about their history as a province, and boost local tourism businesses struggling from the crippling effects of the Covid-19 closures.

If you are a business that would like to participate, please send us an e-mail at
